In their own words.

A few reflections from people I've worked with — singers, speakers, teachers, and colleagues in the field.

All the activities were beneficial. My favourites were the Hoberman sphere and call-and-response — the two activities that helped me get out of my own way.

With the Hoberman sphere my focus changed. I became aware of how stressed I am psychologically about having vocal cord palsy — but that stress was decreased by the change of focus. I remember thinking, this feels like a miracle. The awareness moved from it being hard to sing (a caught sensation in my neck) to the joy of singing with ease. It was amazing.

As a junior infant teacher, I was really struggling after developing nodules on my vocal cords — my voice had become weak and hoarse, and I was frequently losing it altogether. Because my voice is such a vital part of my work, I felt stuck.

Working with Trish was a complete turning point. She was incredibly empathetic and immediately understood the challenges I was facing. Even after just one session, I noticed an immediate improvement. I've made huge progress and feel much more confident managing my voice.

I couldn't recommend Trish highly enough as a vocal coach. She creates such a friendly, supportive and encouraging approach to lessons, whilst also giving clear, practical guidance. Her expertise and techniques are amazing, and the time and support she dedicates even beyond lessons is remarkable.

I needed help with my speaking and singing due to post-surgery issues, and Trish's advice and support was second to none. I always leave lessons feeling motivated and excited for the next one.
